[vc_row][vc_column width=”2/3″ el_class=”section section1″][vc_column_text]A reward of up to $40,000 is being offered by Postal inspectors to facilitate for the arrest and conviction of suspects that robbed a U.S. Postal Service Worker near Cromwell in September at gunpoint.
On Friday, September 7, the police responded to a report of an armed robbery at Cromwell Post Office.
According to the officials, they are saying that as the driver was leaving the rear of the vehicle, a male suspect showed him a firearm with demanded for postal property. There were no injury reports. The authorities have confirmed that during the robbery only postal assets were stolen.
The police are in the process to identify the armed man, who they say is about 5’9” and has a light complexion. The driver told the police that the suspect spoke in a Spanish accent.
When he was last seen, he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and facemask that covered the lower part of his face.
It is believed that the suspect had parked a car on the store next to the post office at the north side of the business.
Inspector in Charge of the Boston Division, Joseph W. Cronin highlights that ensuring postal employees safety is U.S. Postal Inspection Service top priority.
